Left ear sculpture

Artist's Secret
Building on the small series 'The Walls Have Ears' in glossy white enamel, it seemed obvious that the established expression 'Silence is golden' would be a special edition of her works; thus, Caroline Schilling offers a limited, numbered, and signed micro-edition of her sculptural votive ears gilded with gold leaf [8 copies of the Left Ear & 8 copies of the Right Ear].

Suggestions for highlighting [see photos]
The included mounting allows for wall attachment according to your inspiration: among your ex votos on your curiosity wall or on a more minimalist surface.
The potter's screw used to hold the Ear in its custom fit also allows it to be fixed onto a support of thin thickness, for example, to be arranged framed.
It is recommended to handle the work wearing gloves.

Conditioning Information & Recommendations
The artwork, meticulously secured with its setting, is placed in a case to ensure safe transportation. The case itself is carefully packed; it is then secured within a high-strength thick cardboard box.
Each shipment is insured ad valorem.
Upon receipt, to preserve the integrity of the gilding, it is recommended to handle and install the pieces while wearing gloves.

These ears make a pair; they will know how to be discreet, blend into the background while listening to your secrets; the more there are, the better they will guard them. The gold leafed faience gives these pieces a precious and sculptural finish. Look for the small details that set them apart—left or right—they are unique.


Technical Specifications
The gilded sculptural ears with the leaf 'Le silence est d’or' are sold as decorative sculptural works. Their display is intended for indoor use only and is not recommended in humid rooms, as this may lead to oxidation and a change in the golden hue. Caroline Schilling disclaims all responsibility in case of use other than the aforementioned.
The ceramic pressing and finishing are mostly done by hand, so slight differences may exist between pieces of the same model, giving each one its unique character.
To preserve the integrity of the gilding of artworks, it is recommended to handle and install the pieces while wearing extra-soft gloves.
