Lapponia silver bracelet for women, length about 18 cm, weight 29.233 g, with a 925 fineness stamp and a hinged sculptural slot closure, made in Finland in a Scandinavian design.
Description from the seller
Unique vintage bracelet by Lapponia, executed in a pronounced organic and sculptural design that fits perfectly within the Lapponia design philosophy of the early 1980s.
The bracelet is composed of identical, smoothly shaped panels with an almost droplet-like structure. The links are connected at the back with hinges, ensuring a smooth movement and a comfortable fit around the wrist. The finish is technically sophisticated and carefully executed.
A striking and highly detailed feature is the ingenious lock mechanism. This is not a traditional padlock, but a refined construction where the shackle smoothly slides in and is secured with a hinged flap that must be opened upwards. The lock functions excellently and closes securely, with good tension.
Next to the clasp, there is a small, later-added addition, presumably intended for attaching a safety chain. This element is not part of the original design. It is subtly present, does not visually disturb, and can be removed by a jeweler if desired or used to attach a safety chain.
