Elegant antique silver pocket watch signed J. Engström, Linköping (Sweden).
This classic gentleman’s watch features a beautifully engraved case with floral motifs and a bird design. Inside is a traditional cylinder escapement movement (Cylindre 10 rubis), marked Remontoir, typical of late-19th to early-20th century European manufacture.
The watch has a white enamel dial with Roman numerals, delicate gold-coloured filigree hands, and a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock. The movement shows attractive gilt finishing and turns freely when handled.
The case is fully hallmarked for 0.800 silver with the German crescent-moon & crown silver mark. Serial numbers inside the case back match.
