The 10 g gold bar "Britannia" from the Royal Mint combines British tradition with advanced security technology. The figure of Britannia has symbolized wisdom, strength, and national unity since Roman times – an emblem of Great Britain's maritime power and defensive readiness.
Starting in 2025, the gold bar will be equipped with a total of seven modern security features – three directly on the bar and four on the packaging.
On the edge of the shield, there is a microtext with the words "DECUS ET TUTAMEN" – "An ornament and a protection".
