Up for auction is a nice old vintage full size french guseto violin for professional musician or collector. The label says: Georges Chanot quai malaquais 1 a Paris annee 1853. The strongly flamed one piece maple back measures 362 mm. The total length of the violin is 595 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 161 mm; middle bouts: 105 mm; lower bouts: 201 mm. The violin is lined. There are no cracks. Original golden amber varnish. Good ebony set up. New bridge and strings. This tonally extremely interesting instrument is now ready to play, and i recommend it highly for its large, warm, deep sound full of typically french character. Please bid accordingly.
