Kilchoman distillery sits nestled amongst the traditional buildings of Rockside Farm on the north-west coast of Islay. Sheltered beneath the Cnoc Dubn headland, our barley fields stretch west to the shores of Machir Bay.
Established in 2005, Kilchoman represents the revival of traditional farm distilling; growing our own barley before malting, maturing and bottling every bottle of our 100% Islay whiskies on site.
New Vibrations Collection cask 321/2014 was distilled from our 2013 barley harvest then matured for over 8 years in an ex bourbon barrel. Unlike other casks in our New Vibrations Collection, this cask has a 75 hour fermentation time, notably shorter than our usual 85 hours, adding layers of toast, lilac and straw.
