Vittorio Bonacina bamboo basket, Italian craftsmanship from the 1950s, in good used condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
Large bamboo basket - wicker, attributed to Vittorio Bonacina, 1950s-60s
A large basket with a warm and authentic charm, made from woven bamboo or rattan with the typical craftsmanship of Italian post-war productions. The attribution to the craftsmanship of Vittorio Bonacina, dating from the 1950s-60s, gives the object a value of history and artisanry that only creations born from the hands of master weavers can convey.
The structure, spacious and enveloping, features a rhythm of soft lines that chase each other, creating an airy pattern, while the interior upholstered in red fabric brightens the whole with a vibrant contrast of a strongly decorative character.
The object is completely original and unrestored. The broken parts are highlighted in the detailed photographs, along with some tears in the internal lining, a sincere testimony to its history and authenticity. These imperfections tell its long story, giving it a genuine charm and a sense of era that enriches the environment in which it is placed.
Ideal as a scenographic element, an ornamental container, or a highly personalized furniture detail, it carries the scent of Italian design from the 1950s and 1960s.
Height 71 cm, width 92 cm, depth 39 cm.
Proper packaging and traceable shipping across Europe.
