Course of Surgical Operations, demonstrated at the Jardin Royal - [no title page, Paris, n.p. - circa 1750- (38),749,(34) pages - leather]
Good. Gouge and impact marks, top corners (slightly) exposed. Slight loss of leather on the spine, craquelé on the spine. Scribbles on the loose endpaper. Inner hinges partially open and inner margin in places open - the text block is fixed in the binding. The interior is discolored/aged, with some spots, a (light) moisture mark on the first 10 pages and in the top margin of several pages, black spots in the inner margin of about ten pages, stains on pages 612/613. Some corner creases. A tear of 1 to 2 cm in the margin of 3 pages. Worm trail at the top of the inner margin from page 93 to 155, then a hole in the inner margin and at the top in the text up to page 176, then a hole in the inner margin and a line at the top in the text up to page 194, then a worm trail in the top margin up to page 224. A bite out of the margin of 8 pages.
Contains 62 engravings (the first unnumbered, then 2 through 61, with an unnumbered one between 23 and 24) — all depicted.
