Magnificent folio edition produced by Stamperia Valdonega under the typographic supervision of Giovanni Mardersteig and published by Antenore (Padua) in 1968.
The volume offers an exceptional facsimile reproduction of twenty autograph letters by Francesco Petrarch, executed with remarkable accuracy in both graphic detail and material qualities.
The edition was limited to 1,000 numbered copies, plus a very small group of hors-commerce copies reserved for archives, institutions, and collaborators.
This copy belongs to that exclusive hors-commerce group and is preserved in outstanding condition.
Original publisher’s cloth binding, complete with dust jacket and full set of plates.
