Boerderij aan water met boot in de Nederlandse wateren, an oil painting from the 19th century by Johann Jongblutt (1860–1912), a landscape scene from the Netherlands, signed and framed, 30 × 44 cm.
Description from the seller
Johan Jungblut (1860-1912), a Düsseldorf school painter, painted winter landscapes of the countryside in the Netherlands, Germany, and Norway in an old master style.
Jungblut was born in Sarrebourg on the Franco-German border in April 1860, although he made the German city of Düsseldorf his home in 1885.
Johan Jungblut was a solitary figure who lived alone; he often traveled to Holland to paint, specializing in winter scenes bathed in calm light. Beautiful, expensive, framed in a handmade top frame... The work comes once again from a large private collection, and will be carefully and neatly packed and shipped as I am known for. The piece is clean and has a new, neat layer of varnish. It can be hung as is on the wall. Works like this will surely appreciate over the years. This painting is approximately dated around 1885 to 1900. The canvas size is 30 x 44 cm, excluding the top frame.
