De Charmes, Simon, London, was a member of the Clockmakers Company from 1691 to 1730.
Unusually large and rare early Oignon-shaped spindle watch in a gilded engraved case. Magnificent champlevé dial, repoussé case back, and an ornate movement with fine cocks—very well finished.
Rare early collector's watch
Original cases in very beautiful condition for 325 years.
Fine dial - silver - very good condition - so-called Champlevé dial. Roman numerals in black. Recessed fields with appliqués between the numerals. High-quality design. Inner running continuous minute track on a smooth ring. Delicate floral decorations in the center. Handcrafted baroque blued hands with fine embellishments. First-class preservation state.
Elevator on the 4th
Elevator key (right-hand elevator) available, which also functions as the pointer setting key at the center square of the dial.
Embedding on the dial at the VI.
High early impressive gold-plated spindle work in the most beautiful form. Masterful spindle clamp floral with central flower. At the top, depiction of two birds. The entire upper plate is executed with applications and engraving work. Decorated jewelry pillars in the center with engraved decorative lines - hanging ornament at the bottom. Finest quality. Signed De Charme London. Finished with an engraved circle.
