Description from the seller
Chinese Imari porcelain (cups and plates), Kangxi period (1662-1722)
Offered: a diverse lot of antique Chinese export porcelain in the characteristic Imari style. The lot consists of a set of various cups, teacups, and matching saucers, dated to the early 18th century, during the Kangxi period of the Qing dynasty.
The porcelain is decorated with floral and landscape motifs in underglaze cobalt blue, combined with overglaze iron red and gold.
Condition
Items are in a condition consistent with their considerable age and use, with the following specific imperfections:
Hairlines: Multiple cups and saucers display fine hairlines (small, superficial cracks in the glaze or shard).
There are various small edge chips present on the edges of both the heads and the dishes.
Fritting: Various items exhibit fritting, small glaze losses, or irregularities, especially along the edges and stand rings, which is common in early 18th-century porcelain.
Dimensions
Dishes: 2× Ø 11.5 cm (H 2.3) and 2× Ø 10 cm (H 2 cm).
2× Ø 7 cm (H 3.5 cm) and 1× Ø 7.3 cm (H 4.2 cm).
