In 1888, the businessman Eduard Kummer founded EKB in Bettlach near Grenchen, Switzerland.
EKB was one of the first manufacturers of waterproof watches , so the company was renamed Atlantic in the 1920's .

1960's Absolutely beautiful gent's wristwatch from ATLANTIC MONTRES SA.
Perfect size, the watch falls beautifully on the wrist.
Original champagne dial in very good conditions.
Golden hour markers and hands, red pointer on top of the second hand.
New plexiglass crystal, scratches free. New big crown very easy to operate.
Chromed case with some signs of use.
Stainless steel screw down case back, some scratches on, could easily be polished of.
Powered by an hand winding swiss movement (AS1604) with 21 Jewels and 2 adjustaments.
On there says adriatica but it's same used on atlantic, adriatica it's the predecessor of atlantic.
Comes with a new nato style strap(approx. 24cm in length).
The watch it's in good working order and keeps a good time.
Service history unknown.
