Glashütte Spezimatic automatic watch with Cal. GUB 74 movement, 35 mm gold-plated cushion case, gold dial, brown leather strap, dating from the 1960s, in very good condition with minor wear.

A beautiful and well-preserved example of a vintage Glashütte Spezimatic automatic watch from the former German Democratic Republic (GDR). This elegant model features the classic no-date GUB Caliber 74 automatic movement, known for its slim profile, housed in a distinctive cushion-shaped case with extra thick (20 microns) gold plating. A fantastic piece for any collector of East German or vintage automatic watches.

Brand: Glashütte Original (GUB - Glashütter Uhrenbetriebe)
Model: Spezimatic
Movement: Automatic, Calibre GUB 74, 25 Rubis (jewels). The rotor is visible and marked "Spezimatic". This is the desirable non-date variant of the Spezimatic line.
Dial: Original sunburst champagne/gold-tone dial with applied baton indices and Arabic numerals at 12 and 6. Features the Glashütte and Spezimatic signature and "25 RUBIS".
Case Material: Gold-plated (Plaque) base metal.
Plating Thickness: 20 Mikrometer (as indicated on the caseback: PLAQUE 20 MIKROMETER).
