No Reserve Golfspelers is a framed oil on panel by Georges Yoldjoglou (1933), a 1980s French post-impressionist work in oil on panel, 34 × 44.5 cm, 2 kg, signed, in excellent condition, original edition.
Description from the seller
Yoldjoglou, born in 1933 in Paris, is of Greek descent. At the age of 19, he was admitted to the 'Arts Décoratifs' (an art academy). He successively became a graphic designer, commercial artist, award-winning coin designer (Grand Prize for the most beautiful coin, Baltimore, USA, 1993), illustrator of art books ('Belles Saisons' by Colette with original lithography and publications by Pierre de Tartas), but at heart and soul, he remained primarily a painter, as evidenced by his numerous exhibitions, awards, the famous museums where his works are displayed (Paris, Versailles, Cannes, Antibes, Avignon, Peru, etc.), and private collections (Baron Rothschild, Prince de Polignac, SA La Begum, Aga Khan, Baron Empain, Olivier Dassault, etc.). As a post-impressionist painter, he is a master at capturing all elements of nature: wind, sky, water, and sun, with which he feels a special affinity. Could this be due to his Greek heritage? His intense feelings are expressed in his treatment of light and color, which take precedence over the depiction of exact forms. He enjoys painting outdoors, as he himself says: 'A moment of truth then unfolds.' Recently, a book has been published in France in honor of George Yoldjoglou and his significant works. Yoldjoglou is indeed one of the most important contemporary impressionists of France from the 20th century. His exhibitions in galleries in France and other countries have been ongoing continuously from 1952 to the present.
Oil painting on panel 18x28.5 cm in very good condition. Similar work auctioned at Sotheby's (see photos). Recently framed; this is included free of charge with the artwork.
Goods are carefully packed and sent internationally by registered mail.
