Magnificent and particularly rare silver monstrance from this size, dating from the first half of the 19th century, crafted by E.M.T. (Esme-Main Tournenize), working in Paris, located at 19, rue de Harlay, during the period 1830–1837.
The monstrance is richly decorated with a broad, finely constructed radiant crown and topped with a Latin cross. The stem and base are abundantly decorated with classical reliefs, floral motifs, and cherub heads, characteristic of French religious goldsmithing from the first half of the 19th century.

Historical context:
The period from 1830 to 1837 falls within a flourishing era of Parisian religious goldsmithing. Paris was the center for the production of high-quality liturgical silver, with specialized workshops such as that of Esme-Main Tournenize responsible for creating monstrances, anchors, and accompanying accessories. Silver marked with the Minerva head and the number 1 guarantees the highest French silver content (950/1000). Works from this period are rare and highly sought after by collectors of liturgical silver.
This is an exceptional collector's item with both religious and historical value, ideal for collectors of ecclesiastical silver, antiques, and devotional art.
