Seiko 7002-700A Diver automatic watch with stainless steel case, black dial, Seiko Z22 black rubber strap, water resistant to 150 m, in Very Good condition with minor signs of wear, reference 7002-700A; original box and papers not included.
Description from the seller
Seiko 7002-700A diver's watch, automatic, water-resistant up to 150 meters, produced between the late 1980s and the mid-1990s, and a direct ancestor of the SKX. This model, with a 41 mm case and 22 mm lug width, offers the typical Toolwatch look of Seiko Diver watches.
Watch offered with an original Seiko Z22 rubber strap, the iconic strap of Seiko dive watches (6309, 7002, SKX...).
Reference: Seiko 7002-700A Diver’s 150 m
Movement: automatic Seiko calibre 7002, 17 jewels, frequency 21,600 vibrations per hour, date at 3 o'clock, without manual winding or hacking seconds.
Case: stainless steel, approximately 41 mm in diameter, 45 mm lug to lug, thickness approx. 13 mm, lug width 22 mm.
Original sealing: not tested for sale.
Bracelet: black Seiko Z22 rubber, wavy, stainless steel ardillon buckle with Seiko signature. It is new. Installed for sale.
The 7002 series replaced the legendary 6309 in 1988 and predates the SKX, making it a highly sought-after transition diver among vintage Seiko enthusiasts. More streamlined than its predecessors, it retains the robustness of Seiko divers while introducing a more modern design that would later be adopted on the SKX007/009.
The 7002-700A 150 m stands out with its bidirectional bezel with 60 clicks and its understated dial, featuring the red inscription 'Water 150m Resist' that adds a splash of color. It is an ideal watch for those seeking a neo-vintage diver with authentic charm, to wear confidently every day.
Defects / condition:
Fixed sight: the sight no longer rotates following its replacement with an aftermarket sight a few years ago.
Movement: during date or time adjustments, the movement moves slightly but then stabilizes, and the watch functions normally when worn (demonstration video available upon request).
Case in good overall condition for its age.
Dial and hands in very good condition, beautiful homogeneous tritium/LumiBrite indices, functional date feature.
Magnificent Christmas gift.
