An opportunity to own a volume from Katsushika Hokusai's lifelong ode to Mount Fuji.
This item comprises only the second volume of the complete three-volume set, “One Hundred Views of Mount Fuji”.
“One Hundred Views of Mount Fuji” is the renowned woodblock print series produced by Katsushika Hokusai in his later years under the pseudonym “Gakkyō Rōō Manji”. Through diverse scenes, Hokusai depicted Mount Fuji from both the realms of imagination and daily life, creating an immortal visual work that fused nature, humanity, and narrative.
This item is the “Iwasaki Revised Edition”, published by Iwasaki Bijutsu Shuppan in Showa 47 (1972). It is a printed edition featuring Hokusai's woodblock prints accompanied by scholarly commentary.
The original set comprised three volumes (Volumes 1–3) plus a commentary book.
This item contains Volume 2 only. It is bound in traditional Japanese-style binding (wazōji).
