Very disappointed as this was an offset litho which was probably printed in the hundreds if not thousands and was simply signed by artist/it is tragic that catawiki does NOT allow questions to seller!

Acquired "La Chapelle" (1977) as signed and numbered work by Vieira da Silva. Foundation confirmed both signature and justification are fake. Raises serious doubts about seller’s credibility.

I have been selling art from time to time for several years. I am quite knowledgeable about art, but unfortunately I was not familiar with this particular artist. As I mentioned earlier, I also purchased this lithograph myself. I did not see any issues with it; the lithograph looked similar to others I found online. But to have my credibility questioned because of one single lithograph is something I find unacceptable.
