The carpet, which was described as „professionally cleaned“, smells unbearably musty and unclean. Also the colours are quite different- a lot duller and darker than on the pictures. Waste of money. :(

it is clean carpet. As it is made of 100% natural wool and had been stored for some time, a musty wool scent can sometimes occur. This is normal for vintage wool carpets and usually disappears after the carpet is aired outside in fresh, cool air for a short while.

Regarding the colours: please note that lighting conditions, camera settings, and screen differences can affect how colours appear in photos. In real life, handwoven vintage carpets often look slightly deeper or darker than in pictures, especially due to their natural dyes and age. You purchased a beautiful and valuable handwoven Berber carpet through Catawiki at a very good price. I hope you remove your feedback. greetings.

Occasionally, two different bidders may show up in the bidding history with the same bid amount. This occurs when one user's bid is exactly the same as an automatic (maximum) bid placed by another user earlier. Since the auto-bid was placed first, this takes preference.
