Tested for several weeks and it works fine, it comes with winding key 

1 gong at half hours and the full number of hours at the top of hours.

You may still need to add or slow it seconds with the adjustment knob under the

Mechanical - 8 day movement - 1 gong at half hours and the full number of hours at the top of hours.

Louis XV-style pendulum clock, in gilded bronze with cartouche and Rocaille.
The mechanism is a mainspring; you just need to give it a nudge to get it running, it will need servicing.
