Rare! Very old Napoléon III travel writing desk, 19th century, entirely in marquetry, bronze and mother-of-pearl. Folded dimensions: 31 x 26.5 cm. Unfolded dimensions: 44 x 31 cm. Some signs of wear, a small restoration on the side, minor defects. Check the photos.

Travel boulle secretary signed Maison Alphonse Giroux (1799-1881) with dimensions: height 11 cm, width 33 cm, depth 27 cm, depth when opened 44 cm. Made of wood, brass, and tortoiseshell in the boulle marquetry technique. Condition as shown in the photos, i.e. minor damage.

Occasionally, two different bidders may show up in the bidding history with the same bid amount. This occurs when one user's bid is exactly the same as an automatic (maximum) bid placed by another user earlier. Since the auto-bid was placed first, this takes preference. The bidding history will show both bids, with the auto-bid ranked as the higher of the two.


Double bid
