2 bronze designer bookends in an elephant model.
Made by Wuss - Guss / Eslohe - Bremke.

Notable for their simplicity and the strong appearance it conveys.
The bronze is nicely etched, probably chemically etched.
Dating is around the 1980s.
Condition is good, normally used.

This set of bookends is made in the Art Deco style, probably between 1930 and 1940.

The birds are made of patinated régule (or spelter) with a gold-colored finish. The base consists of marble.
The figures depict swallows, birds in flight, positioned above stylized waves.

​The item for auction is an exceptionally decorative set of two book supports, made from solid, polished brass. They depict the classic motif of hands clasped in prayer. The brass has a natural, noble patina, which can easily be polished if desired. Condition as shown in

Gorgeous pair of marbled ceramic bookends depicting pigeons in the characteristic Art Deco design. Very good overall condition, a chip on the underside that does not affect the piece's stability.
