Epiphanius the Wise - «Житие и чудеса преподобного Сергия Радонежского»- Old Slavonic First edition bok - 1646

[Church Slavonic]. The First printed edition book "The Life and Miracles of St. Sergius of Radonezh"1646 In the 17th century, German Tulupov, Simon Azaryin, and Dimitry of Rostov worked on the life of the saint. German Tulupov joined the work on the life in connection with the creation of the Menaion Readings in 1627–1632. "As V.N. Alekseev established, Tulupov discovered a 15th-century manuscript of the life's text in the library of the Trinity-Sergius Monastery, missing two pages," and completed the missing pages. Apparently, he did not make any significant editorial changes to the text of the life. Simon Azaryin carried out "a stylistic revision of the Epiphanius and Pakhomius editions with the addition of new miracles," which occurred during the 15th–17th centuries. The text edited by Simon Azaryin, together with the Service to Sergius, by order of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, was published with some changes and abbreviations in Moscow in 1646. A 17th-century inscription, written in the standard Moscow cursive of the time (in Little Russia, it was different) I quote it in simplified spelling: January 16, 7159 (the year 1651 according to our time reckoning) They placed this so-called book Lives of Our Venerable and God-Bearing Fathers Sergius and Nikon and Sava of Storozhevsky In the house for the Nativity of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, and for the Meeting of the Miraculous Icon Vladimir, and to the great rank-bearer of Christ, Mikhail And to the great forerunner and baptizer of Christ, Ivan And to the holy hierarch of Christ, Alexei, Metropolitan of Moscow And to our venerable and God-bearing father, Makary Zheltovodsky That the Romanovs, the Posad people, are on the Romanovs The same Yakov Karpov, Archangelsk parish Son Zavetkin (?) and Ivan Ivanov, son of Puzirev (?), for the salvation of their souls and of their parents
