Materia Contenida is an abstract artwork dominated by deep black tones, subtly contrasted with a soft brick-brown hue that emerges within the composition. The work is structured around two distinct planes: a stable upper field of dark, restrained calm, and a lower band where matter accumulates in a dense, almost sedimentary form. This warmer brown presence introduces a quiet chromatic tension, grounding the piece while remaining fully contained.

The upper surface remains in apparent stillness, crossed by subtle, circular gestures that do not seek rupture or impact, but rather balance and permanence. Matter does not expand or release itself; it remains held and restrained, generating a silent tension that permeates the entire artwork.
