Solid bronze bangle with regular articulation through relief decorative elements.
Material: Bronze
Date: approx. 12th–7th century BC
Dimensions: Outer diameter 6.7 cm and weight 45.25 g
Condition: Very good condition
The bangle is made of solid bronze with a dark green patina. The round band is divided by applied, ring-shaped relief decorative elements with a central indentation, dividing the piece of jewelry into equal segments.
Comparable types are known from Late Bronze Age to Early Iron Age contexts in the Luristan region (western Iran) and neighboring cultural areas, particularly Anatolia and the Transcaucasus. The ring may have been part of the costume of a high-ranking individual and served not only as jewelry, but also as a representation of status and possibly ritual affiliation.
