Tilt (1973) - Anarchy in the UK, sought screeprint (2011)

Published in 2011 by Pictures on Walls in London, "Anarchy in the U.K." is one of Tilt’s most recognised limited editions and comes directly from his emblematic bubble-letters period. Printed as a 5-colour screenprint, this red and blue version echoes the mural the artist painted the same year in East London — a piece that quickly became iconic for its nod to punk aesthetics and to the heritage of 1980s graffiti. This edition marks an important moment in his career, when his work gained international visibility thanks to POW — a key platform in British street art, known for having championed artists such as Banksy, Invader and Paul Insect. • Dimensions: 60.5 × 81 cm • Four-colour screenprint on 300 g Somerset Satin paper • Shipped securely: rolled in a tube, then packed in a reinforced shipping box If you live in the Paris region, you can pick up the figure directly from our gallery located in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. Otherwise, we ship to Europe. Our items are carefully packed and protected, with insured and tracked shipping. - Tilt (born in 1973 in Toulouse) is one of the leading figures of French graffiti, recognised since the 2000s for his dynamic, colourful bubble letters. Trained in the streets and wastelands of Toulouse, he developed very early on a pop, readable and instantly identifiable style that quickly carried his name far beyond the local scene. A tireless traveller, he refined his visual language throughout extended stays in Asia and the United States — notably in New York — where he connected with major international graffiti artists. These encounters helped accelerate the growth of his career and anchored his presence on the global urban art scene. From the late 2000s onward, Tilt gradually entered the gallery world while maintaining the raw energy of writing. His work gained visibility and maturity, yet his bubble-letters period — from which Anarchy in the U.K. originates — remains one of the most celebrated and collected phases of his career. It is during this era that his pop, direct and immediately recognisable aesthetic fully asserted itself, securing its place in the history of contemporary graffiti. From the mid-2010s, Tilt began exploring more conceptual approaches, notably with his Back to Boring series, without ever renouncing the foundational period that continues to shape his artistic identity.
