Anatolian Bronce Trilobate Arrowhead Group (9) (Sin precio de reserva)
A fine collection of Anatolian trilobate arrowheads cast from bronze, with slightly varying sizes. Each arrowhead features a rounded socket with three protruding blades, joining to form a sharp point. The socket was used to attach the wooden shaft of the arrow. Some of the arrowheads feature sharp barbs. Patination and earthly encrustations to the surface as well as inside the sockets. Minor chips to the blades.
Arrowheads of this type have been recovered across all the Anatolian and North Euphrates region. Anatolia, also known in antiquity as Asia Minor, was located in the Anatolian Peninsula. It is one of the first regions to have boasted bronze production. The Iron Age of Anatolia marked the rise of classical civilisation, when Syro-Hittite culture rose and took over the former Hittite Empire.
