Medieval Bronze Ring – AD 1000 to 1400 – 30x25x20 mm – 16.63 g
This robust medieval bronze ring exhibits a thick circular bezel with a slightly elevated disc-shaped face, once possibly engraved or used for practical seal-like purposes. The band, with an internal diameter of 20 mm, displays a deeply ridged design, likely meant to enhance grip or indicate status. The surface bears a rich greenish-brown patina developed over centuries, suggesting prolonged burial.
Its architectural form and weight hint at a utilitarian role, potentially linked to a merchant or lower-ranking official. The rugged geometry of the ring exemplifies the practical craftsmanship of the High to Late Middle Ages.
