This painting belongs to my new 2025-2026 collection, called 'Landscapes of emerging universes', a series of large-format canvases from 2025. They are abstract landscapes that explore the vastness of inner universes, in resonance with outer galaxies.
My training is more literary than artistic, and there is a stylistic device that has always fascinated me: synecdoche. It is the extended or restricted use of words, taking the whole for the part or the part for the whole. I apply this device to my pictorial creation, thinking that human beings, in their smallness, contain an infinitesimal part of the infinite expansion of galaxies.
The landscapes are accompanied by words taken from songs and poems. In this case, the title is taken from a song by Jeff Buckley.
It is shipped rolled up to minimize damage and reduce transportation costs.
Unique and original painting.
Signed and dated by the artist.
It is sent without a frame or border.
The gallery photos are mock-ups to give an idea of how the framed painting might look hanging in different environments.

Jaume Muñoz (Barcelona, 1977) is a poet, painter and photographer.
In his work, he explores the expressive possibilities of abstract painting, placing himself at the crossroads of chaos and order. His painting process is based on free abstract improvisation.
He began painting while living in Egypt, in the open painting workshops at the Townhouse Gallery, Cairo. He held his first exhibitions there in 2007.
For years, he attended the summer art residency and auction sale at the Association Saint Henri, Castelnaudary (France).
He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Cairo, Berlin, Revel, Milano and Barcelona.

Mi nombre es Jaume Muñoz y nací en Barcelona en 1977. Soy poeta y pintor.
En mi trabajo exploro las posibilidades expresivas de la pintura abstracta, situándome en la encrucijada del caos y el orden. Mi proceso de pintura se basa en la improvisación abstracta libre.
Tengo formación en lingüística y literatura. Comencé a pintar mientras vivía en Egipto, en los talleres de pintura abiertos en la Townhouse Gallery, El Cairo. Allí realicé mis primeras exposiciones en 2007.
Durante años, asistí a la residencia de arte de verano y a la venta de subastas en la Association Saint Henri, Castelnaudary (Francia).
