The seated falcon Horus finely carved of lapis lazuli, holding the Ankh and wearing a broad collar, with tripartite wig and elaborate headdress bearing the Winged Sun of Thebes, symbol of divinity, royalty and power: a winged sun disk flanked by two uraei and the feathers of Ma’at (partly missing). Exquisite details. Flat back. Holes for attachment.
Size: 7.5 cm L - 3 inches
Material: Lapis lazuli
Culture: Egypt, 26th - 30th Dynasty, c. 665-345 B.C.
Condition: Headdress partly missing, Repaired
