A fine silver drachm from Dyrrhachium in Illyria, struck under magistrates Philos and Meniskos. The obverse features a cow, standing right, suckling her calf with her head lowered towards the calf, with the head of Helios above the legend. The legend above reads ΦΙΛΩΝ. The reverse displays a double stellate pattern and a legend which reads ΔYΡ ME-NI-ΣΚΟY. Diameter: (circa) 1.8cm Weight: 2.76g Provenance: Ex London Art Market, acquired 1980s-90s.
