Edad del Bronce Bronce Figurina de caballo (Sin precio de reserva)
A Bronze Age bronze stylised quadruped figurine, likely a horse, featuring a thin body, long pointed legs and a short tail which points outwards. The head displays an triangular skull with circular disc-shaped protrusions on either side probably representing eyes. A mane runs down the back of the neck. Patina, earthly encrustations, and signs of wear to the surface, as consistent with age.
Animals are a recurring motif in Bronze Age art and metalwork. The prevalence and intricacy of horse depictions, as well as horse equipment, in Bronze Age bronzes implies a great significance of the animal in the culture. The manufacturers of the these bronzes, though unknown, are widely understood to have been a nomadic people, and horses would have played a crucial role in almost every aspect of life, including transport, warfare, agriculture and religion.
