Oriol Angrill Jorda - Tributo a Dánae de Klimt
Oriol Angrill Jordà (Barcelona, 1986) currently living and working in Mallorca.
My work is the result of merging and connecting different interests, always creating from a place of pause and reflection; for me, it's more like an answer than a question. Through art, I attempt to separate noise from silence and control from arbitrariness. A duality that runs through everything I do, inviting to look beyond the surface.
Influenced by illustration, I speak from the study of the image, the composition, and technical language. This discipline allows me to create a deeper and clearer narrative from both the object and the person being portrayed. It's a slow and delicate process, painting structures and landscapes seen between layer and layer, that eventually convey and connects into an ethereal natural balance, as if something was finally being revealed.
