Peill & Putzler - Vaso (7) - vidrio con burbujas

Dear Bidders, Thank you for your interest in my offer. You are bidding here on a vintage punch bowl set by Peill & Putzler, produced in West Germany circa 1960s–1970s. The set includes a large covered punch bowl and six matching handled cups made of heavy textured clear “bubble glass”. The organic relief surface and sculptural form are characteristic of Mid-Century Modern and Space Age design. The tactile bubble pattern strongly recalls the iconic “Ultima Thule” series by Iittala designed by Tapio Wirkkala, as well as the famous bubble glass aesthetics associated with Helena Tynell. A highly decorative and collectible German art glass set, ideal for entertaining or as a statement display piece in vintage, Scandinavian Modern, or brutalist-inspired interiors. SOME GENERAL INFORMATIONS: Glashüttenwerk Peill und Sohn was founded in 1903 in Düren, a small town in (West) Germany. Peill und Sohn merged with Putzler (founded in 1869) in 1947 as a glass works and lighting company and became Peill + Putzler Glashüttenwerke. SOME ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONS: * Brand: Peill & Putzler Alaska * Made in Germany around 1970 * Measurements ca.: 1. 22x24 cm ( bowl ); 2. 6 pcs. 7x8,5 cm ( glasses ) * Please watch carefully all the pictures, they are also a part of description ( each one can be enlarged ) * I would like to point out that the items I am selling are several decades old and therefore show general signs of use and age, such as minor scratches, scuffs, discoloration, dust, patina, chips, dents etc. - Any major damage -s is / are ALWAYS shown in the photos - * Please remember about Catawiki’s rules and make a payment maximally within 3 days after auction end The set will be properly prepared for the shipping ( mainly recycled materials ) and sent insured ( up to 500€ ). IMPORTANT: If, however, the item is damaged or lost, please contact me via the internal Catawiki chat. According to EU law for courier companies, in any case of damage to an international shipment, the first step in obtaining compensation is for the RECIPIENT to report the damage to their local supplier within 7 days of receiving the shipment. Only then, after the RECIPENT ( you ) receives a certificate of damage, I as the sender can claim compensation. In addition, the following photos will be required: the damage to the item, the outside of the box with the shipping label, and the inside of the box including the materials used to protect the shipment.
