Descripción del vendedor

This is a large sculpture measuring 68 cm in height.

Iconic Totem is a sculptural composition built from simple cubic forms, where order and imbalance coexist in a carefully orchestrated harmony. Rising upward through shifting angles and changing perspectives, the work appears both stable and fragile, inviting the viewer to pause and reconsider what truly gives a structure its strength.
Beyond its geometric appearance, Iconic Totem explores humanity's endless search for symbols worth following. In every era, new icons emerge—people, ideas, beliefs, or ambitions—each promising direction and meaning. Built from simple cubic forms, the sculpture suggests that identity itself is constructed layer by layer through the influences we choose to embrace. Whether these icons lead us toward authenticity or away from it is left for the viewer to decide.
Rather than offering answers, Iconic Totem remains open to interpretation, encouraging every viewer to reflect on the icons that shape their own life and the values they choose to place at the top of their personal totem.

Information about the artist

Education: Self-taught artist.
Exhibitions: I develop my artistic practice independently.
Awards: I have not received official awards.
Residencies: I have not participated in artistic residencies.

My work focuses on the creation of unique pieces situated between sculpture and functional object, exploring materiality, structure, and durability. I create sculptural furniture and sculptures in iron and concrete, combining function and sculptural presence with a strong Brutalist influence.

Through geometry, repetition, and visual balance, my works explore the relationship between weight, space, and structural tension.

El vendedor y su historia

Wallavibe – D.B is an independent sculptural workshop where brutalism, geometry, and industrial memory are transformed into contemporary functional art. I grew up in an environment where concrete walls were thicker than words, and objects were created not for beauty, but for durability. The images of my childhood — grey housing blocks, massive furniture, rough surfaces, iron, wood, and concrete — left a deep mark on the way I think and create. It was a world where form always followed function, and aesthetics emerged from necessity rather than excess. These memories and experiences became the foundation of my work. The brutalist tables and sculptures I create today are both a direct response to that past and a dialogue with the present. I am inspired by monumentality, weight, exposed structure, and honest materials. I do not try to hide or soften them; instead, I allow them to speak for themselves. My works are an act of resistance against fast consumption. They are not created for temporary trends or seasonal tastes, but for permanence. These are objects that demand presence, time, and a relationship with the person who lives with them. They are made not to be replaced, but to remain — to age together with the space and the individual. Each piece exists at the boundary between furniture and sculpture, between function and silence. They are solid objects — sometimes uncomfortable, sometimes provocative — inviting the viewer to pause and feel the weight, texture, and history of the material. My work explores the relationship between memory, matter, and permanence in an increasingly accelerated world.
