Edad del Bronce Bronce Arrowhead (Sin Precio de Reserva)
A Bronze Age bronze arrowhead, featuring a triangular blade with slightly downward angled shoulders, forming small barbs. The edges of the blade taper evenly from the shoulders to the tip. A pronounced central midrib develops to a short stem. From the stem extends a long square-sectioned tang. Earthly encrustation and a green patina to the surface. Signs of wear as consistent with age, such as chipping to the edges, scratches, and surface roughness. One of the barbs has chipped off and is now missing; the other is slightly bent.
In ancient times a number of nomadic populations, such as the Medes and the Kassites settled in the Western Asiatic region. Due to the nomadic nature of the tribes, none of these bronzes were of great size, since it was required for them to be light and portable. Excavated items often included weapons, tools, and finials, as well as small amulets and fittings. Their artwork mainly comprises ornaments, vessels and weapons. Most of these bronze items have been recovered in funerary contexts.
