Brian Epstein - A cellarful of Noise - 1964
About this Item
A first edition, first printing of A Cellarful of Noise by Brian Epstein, published by Souvenir Press in 1964, with 33 photographs and other illustrations. A near fine book without inscriptions, bound in publisher's navy blue cloth boards with gilt titles to the spine, slight pushing to the head and foot of the spine and corners, bumping to the bottom of the front and rear boards, the text block with some browning and minor damage to the bottom edge in line with bumping to boards, ghosting on the front and rear free end papers. In a very good price unclipped wrapper with chipping to the head and foot of the spine, a neat closed tear, spine tips and knuckles of the front and rear flap folds with some browning and handling wear. A Cellarful of Noise is Epstein's own account of his extraordinary life and, inevitably, the story of the Beatles. How he guided a group from Liverpool to shake the world of popular music, making them the biggest group in the world within two years of making their first record. He published this autobiography in 1964. He died of an overdose of sleeping pills in August 1967. Becoming scarce. Seller Inventory # 18968
