ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Picasso is not a tribute. It is a confrontation.
This portrait captures the artist at the edge of himself — aged, sharp, stripped of mythology. The gaze is frontal, unfiltered, almost unsettling. There is no distance between the subject and the viewer. Picasso looks back, and he does not soften.
The composition is built on contrast and fracture. Light and shadow cut the face asymmetrically, echoing the way Picasso himself shattered form, perspective, and convention. Here, the stencil becomes a tool of tension: each cut is deliberate, each void as important as the painted surface.
The textured background, dense and mineral, evokes erosion, time, and accumulation. Muted greens and deep shadows suggest both decay and resilience — the weight of legacy against the raw force of creation. This is not the genius at his peak, but the man who has survived his own revolution.
This work speaks to collectors who are drawn to strong presence, historical weight, and psychological intensity. It is an image about power, ego, vulnerability, and permanence — the moment where creation has consumed the creator, yet left him standing.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am a French stencil artist working between street art, pop culture, mythology, and contemporary painting. My work is built on contrast: spontaneous, textured backgrounds combined with meticulously hand-cut stencil layers.
Each artwork is unique. Even when a stencil is reused, the surface, energy, and emotional charge are never repeated. I explore the idea of originality through repetition, where tension, identity, and gesture constantly evolve.
I create original works for collectors, public spaces, and live painting performances across France, with a focus on strong imagery, emotional tension, and lasting visual impact.
