Rather than portraying aggression, I chose introspection. The gorilla’s gaze is calm, steady, almost reflective. There is power here — but it is controlled, contained, aware. Using my double-layer stencil technique, I sculpted the textures of the fur through sharp contrasts and layered precision. Every detail was digitally designed, then manually hand-cut before being applied with spray paint. The interplay of deep blacks and light tones gives the portrait depth and sculptural impact. The mineral green-grey abstract background was created instinctively, evoking natural environments while remaining contemporary and urban. This tension between spontaneous texture and meticulous stencil work defines my artistic language. This is an original, one-of-a-kind artwork.
