The artwork is an abstract representation of the details that shape the “The Virtues” series. Hirst aims to evoke the colors of cherry blossoms and the sky, which define the series as a whole.

The piece consists of dynamic bands of white, pink, and green that stand out against a dark background. “Fruitful” offers viewers an unprecedented and remarkably clear insight into Hirst’s painting techniques.
