On auction is a fabulous and extremely rare vintage bottle of Chartreuse Verte, released in 1984 to commemorate the 9th Centenary of the Carthusian Order (1084–1984). This example features the distinctive and sought-after “9e Centenaire” red overprint on the front label. As visible on both the front red label (“Liquore naturale alle erbe – non contiene aromi e coloranti artificiali”) and the back label, this bottle was originally intended for the Italian market. The rear label mentions the Italian importer Soffiantino, confirming its official distribution in Italy. Condition: - Bottle in overall good vintage condition - Fill level very good, in the upper shoulder/neck area - Original Italian tax seal present; cap fully sealed - Labels intact with minor age-related wear Considering the distinctive 9ème Centenaire overprint, the age of the bottle, and its well-preserved condition, this represents a highly collectible and rare vintage example of Chartreuse.
