The Talisker 15 Year Old is a single malt that was released in 2019 as part of the Diageo Special Releases. The single malt was stored for 15 years in freshly burnt-out American hogsheads. The bottling was carried out in batch strength at 57.3 % vol. without dyeing and cooling filtration. A beautiful 15 year old island malt from the Isle of Sky, strong!
NOSE: maritime and smoky with salt and seaweed. In addition, honey and dry peat smoke notes
TASTE: powerful and full-bodied with initially sweet smoke. This is followed by chilli and white pepper with salt and seaweed
FINISH: long-lasting and beautifully balanced with spicy oak notes and smoke
