JUAN LUIS MOLERO - AXARQUÍA 003 - XXL
Juan Luis Molero, born in Cordoba 1970, resident in Madrid- Spain, has been active in the European art world since the mid 1990s. A sculptor, painter, printmaker, book maker, his multiple talents have resulted in exhibitions in Spain, Germany, Sweden, Algeria, Belgium, Poland, and the United States (resident 8 years).
Molero is best known for using found objects for his sculptures, and a totemic figure in his paintings and unique works of art on paper which he makes himself. Multiple colors infuse his work, with the addition of gold leaf, resulting in works both small and large which have both spiritual and temporal presence. Widely collected in Europe, the United States, and South America, Molero’s works of art are in public and private collections, museums and corporations.
Rich in texture, his work continues to evolve in ever deepening atmosphere and intellectual content. His work deserves to be widely exhibited and collected.
Start in the classical world, mythology and the Arabic and Sephardic geometry of my hometown, Cordoba-Spain. Through research around the human being, totem, contextualized in the contemporary. I create unique work, like my ideas, thoughts or perceptions. Uses all colors looking for perfect harmony.
I need to use all kinds of materials depending on the concept of the work, sculpture, engraving, drawing, painting... to capture the physical, mental or sentimental connections between people and me. I use the minotaur, the Ariadne thread, the labyrinth, the wings, the golden ratio...
I was born with the innate ability to create and express everything that happens inside me and how society and people influence me and my art. I use the totem as a reflection of the person, where the viewer can project his ideas without race, religion, age or sex.

The work is original. It's important to me, just like the idea, the feeling, the inspiration, that it be unique.
