María Burgaz knew from a very young age that art was her true calling. She began her training at the School of Decorative Arts in Madrid and earned a degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid, specializing in Painting, in 1993. She later completed her studies at FIT in New York. Winner of competitions such as those organized by the Wellington Foundation, the Professional Football Foundation, Mujer y Sociedad, Iberdrola-UEX, UNED, Eugenio Hermoso, and the Gran Casino de Torrelodones, her work forms part not only of the collections of these institutions, but also of those of municipalities such as Gibraleón, Valdemoro, Martos, and Horche, as well as the Provincial Council of Alicante. She has held dozens of solo and group exhibitions both in Spain and abroad, and her work can also be found in numerous private collections around the world. Her hardworking and enthusiastic spirit has led her to participate in all kinds of projects and collaborate with designers, writers, and anyone or anything that allows her to express everything she carries within. Her work always reflects the stage of life she is experiencing, her vitality, her particular sense of humor, and her unique way of understanding life.
