Melissa Stok - Is this the life we really want ?

Original mixed media artwork on canvas inspired by contemporary pop art and urban street-art aesthetics. The piece combines hand-painted acrylic details with layered paper collage, graffiti textures, comic fragments and expressive typography. Featuring Homer Simpson and Krusty the Clown in a chaotic and humorous composition, the artwork reflects modern society, anxiety and pop culture overload with irony and color. Bright neon accents, splatter effects and vintage-inspired imagery create depth, movement and a raw urban energy throughout the piece. A bold statement artwork blending nostalgia, satire and contemporary mixed media art, perfect for collectors and lovers of modern pop culture design. Melissa Stok is a Belgium-based artist born in Mechelen, whose creative practice is deeply rooted in continuous exploration and experimentation. Having completed various artistic trainings and courses over the years, she has developed a broad technical foundation while constantly refining her own visual language. Art is an essential part of her daily life, with much of her time dedicated to studying materials, painting methods, texture building, and spray techniques. Her work is driven by curiosity and a hands-on approach, often focusing on the interaction between color, movement, layering, and surface effects. Through ongoing research into paint application and mixed techniques, she continuously pushes her artistic process forward, embracing both precision and spontaneity in her creations. Her works are sold worldwide and have been exhibited at Art Majeur. - No gliclée   - Unique pieces  -Certificate of Authenticity included  -signature on the back of the canvas -Acrylic on canvas, ready to display. -40x50cm , 3,5cm thickness
