La première lumière de l'aube se répand doucement sur de vastes prairies vertes des hauts plateaux indonésiens, dorant les feuillages couverts de rosée et peignant des couches de vert vif, d'or chaud et de bleu tranquille à travers la vallée. L'air est immobile. La terre respire.
Dans cette œuvre en techniques mixtes 100×120 cm d'une sérénité rare, Jono Sugiartono capture l'atmosphère précise du petit matin dans les hauts plateaux de Java — surfaces riches et texturées construites avec des fibres organiques de jute et de l'huile évoquant la terre fertile et l'éveil lent et généreux de la nature.
