GENERAL: Land Rover - Range Rover Classic 2.5 Tdi - 1996 with approximately 200,000 km. Presenting a Range Rover Classic 300 Tdi featuring a long, fully documented maintenance and restoration history carried out almost entirely by a specialist Land Rover workshop, TorresLand in Portugal. Originally launched in 1970, the Range Rover Classic redefined the 4x4 segment by combining rugged off-road capability with luxury features, effectively creating the modern luxury SUV archetype. By 1996, the final year of production for the Classic generation alongside the newer P38A, Land Rover fitted the highly regarded 300 Tdi 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine. Renowned for its mechanical simplicity, direct-injection efficiency, and exceptional durability compared to earlier VM Motori units, the 300 Tdi remains one of the most sought-after engines among Land Rover purists and collectors worldwide. BODYWORK & PAINT: The vehicle has undergone a comprehensive structural chassis restoration, which included thorough rust removal and anti-corrosion protection. The exterior bodywork benefited from a full correction and complete repaint executed by a specialist workshop. Additionally, the D-pillar vinyl trim was reconstructed alongside the associated window switch trim and moldings, preserving the iconic aesthetic of this final-production-year Classic. TECHNICAL: The mechanical components have been extensively renewed and serviced. The engine was replaced with a rebuilt 300 Tdi unit, accompanied by a new water pump, timing kit, oil seals, alternator belt, thermostat, expansion tank, coolant hoses, and a replaced radiator core. The turbocharger was rebuilt in 2021 with new exhaust manifold gaskets and oil drain seals, while the vacuum pump was replaced the same year. The fuel injector pump has been cleaned, adjusted, and reseated. Power is delivered through a reinforced clutch kit, with fresh fluids servicing the gearbox, transfer case, and both front and rear differentials. Braking and handling are refreshed with a new front brake caliper and pads, recent rear brake pads replaced in 2026, and new front and rear anti-roll bar bushings and ball joints. Routine maintenance includes regular oil, filter, wiper blade, and coolant changes, a battery replacement within the last six months, and a recently passed MOT in April 2026. INTERIOR: The cabin features restored interior wood kit components and refurbished door trim, maintaining the classic Range Rover atmosphere. The interior environment benefits from regular servicing including new cabin filters, and all electronic controls and window switches are properly integrated following their restoration.
