Corina Schroeder - Grandma's armchair

Acrylic and mixed media (structure) on canvas, 60 x 80 x 1,5 cm. Painting in excellent condition. Sealed with varnish. Handsigned on the front. A certificate of authenticity is placed on the back of the painting. Perfect and sturdy packaging. You will also receive a tracking number. About the painting: This vibrant painting captures a cozy, colorful interior filled with expressive patterns and bold contrasts. The focal point is a large, royal blue armchair decorated with prominent pink and magenta floral patterns. Resting on the seat is a woven wicker basket filled with colorful skeins of yarn in shades of red, blue, and yellow, with two wooden knitting needles leaning out. A soft pink accent pillow is tucked neatly behind the basket against the armrest. The room's decor is rich in texture and color: The walls are a striking, solid medium blue. Hanging on the wall above the chair is a small, framed landscape painting featuring red and green tones, enclosed in a thick golden frame. A tall, slender green houseplant sits in a decorative, deep blue ceramic pot adorned with gold geometric patterns. Behind the plant is a large, multi-paneled wooden door painted in warm golden-yellow tones. The lower part of the scene features a bright yellow rug embellished with an intricate, repeating pattern of blue floral or leaf motifs. The artistic style is post-impressionistic, characterized by thick brushstrokes, visible textures, and a joyful, vivid color palette dominated by blues, yellows, and pinks. About the artist: My name is Corina Madalina Schröder. I was born in Timisoara, Romania, in 1969 and grew up in the Satu Mare region (Transylvania). I came to Germany at the age of 43. I lived and worked there in Bad Säckingen am Rhein until 2023. The direct proximity to the Swiss border, the central location in Europe and the diversity of the people there gave me many creative influences and so I painted in a very modern and lively way and was able to present my pictures in many exhibitions. (including Germany, Belgium, Italy and Switzerland). In June 2023 I moved with my husband to beautiful, sunny Spain, to Benijofar, south of Alicante. Here, strongly influenced by the wonderful sea, the great light, the friendliness of the people and the Mediterranean atmosphere, my passion for painting received new impulses. I love painting. Even as a child, I was fascinated by using pens and brushes. I always went forward courageously, learned a lot and my artistic talent was born into me through my mother, who was a painter and art teacher. So I started not only painting but also creating all sorts of things. Be it sewing, knitting and modeling with clay. I love individual design and today especially expressive painting. Especially in today's fast-paced times, where people are quick to evaluate and harshly comment, I find it particularly important to be able to calmly and calmly indulge in the joy of one's own creativity. Without “right or wrong” but just completely ME... Since the beginning, my works have been exhibited in several german and international exhibitions, art salons and galleries, such as: Brugge, Madrid, Venice, Bucarest, Basel, London, Paris etc...
