Born in Dakar in 1973, Alice de Miramon is a French artist.
Although she grew up in northern France, she was particularly influenced by her travels to the United States. From an early age, she developed a passion for drawing, stained glass, as well as old portraits and books. She received artistic training in drawing, modeling, and engraving in France before moving to the United States in 1997 to complete a degree in fine arts.

It was there that she held her first exhibition. The artist presented a refined style in which the message was clear and directly touched the viewer. Upon returning to Paris, she worked as an art director for major brands such as Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and Disney.

In 2008, Alice de Miramon settled in Sauve, a place home to many emerging artists. This environment inspired her and enabled her to create many new works. As a result of this prolific production, public interest grew, and her exhibitions multiplied, spreading to international art galleries.

In her earliest memories, Alice de Miramon was always
surrounded by old books, newspapers, prints and
illustrations, with their faded, near illegible lettering,
dreaming up imaginary authors of these ancient writings.
As then, her house still abounds with old papers of various origins, imprints of the past that graduallly accumulate, taking on a patina over time.
Early on, she became captivated by the contrast between the motifs and the colors of different works, later feasting her eyes on engravings that would later influence her work.
Passages from poems began appearing on her paintings,
barely visible in the finished work as though draped in a veil of timidity... She inherited a love for the poetry of Cocteau, Prévert, Verlaine, Baudelaire...
The first buddings of a rich, dreamlike vegetation, taking root in the artist’s contemplative reveries.
Diverse influences such as naïve oriental painting, the
Douanier Rousseau, or even the ancient gildings of old paintings, reverberate, creating a rich visual language, a luxuriant garden.
